What’s with the name?
“The word is yes” is an optimistic mantra that’s been with me for a long while. Taking things on. Making things happen. At the time, Rubber Soul era Beatles was probably echoing around my head space. More directly, it is inspired by Yoko Ono’s 1966 interactive installation Ceiling Painting where the viewer must climb a ladder and use a magnifying glass to discover the word ‘YES‘ framed on the ceiling. Apparently, this was John Lennon’s introduction to her, stating at the time, ”It was positive. I felt relieved.” You can be, too.
